Dodgers Notes: LA Discussing Multiple Trades, Optimistic on Signing Roki Sasaki
The Los Angeles Dodgers are awaiting Roki Sasaki’s decision in free agency.
The 23-year-old has until Jan. 23 to make his decision, and is reportedly down to the Dodgers, San Diego Padres, and Toronto Blue Jays as potential options.
The Dodgers are reportedly feeling “optimistic” about their chances to land Sasaki, but so too are the Padres and Blue Jays.
At this point, nobody knows what Sasaki is going to do.
In an effort to potentially enhance their offer to Sasaki, though, the Dodgers are reportedly discussing multiple trades.
The Dodgers are said to be looking for more international bonus pool money to give to Sasaki. As of now, L.A. has the lowest amount among the three finalists.
