Dodgers Provide Injury Update on Max Muncy After Leaving Game Early

The Los Angeles Dodgers have provided an injury update on Max Muncy, who left Wednesday’s Cactus League game early after getting hit by a pitch on the left hand.

Muncy has a left hand contusion, and is considered day-to-day.

Muncy suffered the injury in the top of the first inning, but was able to stay in the game to run the bases and play defense.

However, before his second at-bat in the top of the fourth inning, Muncy was replaced by the pinch-hitting Austin Gauthier.

Muncy will undergo X-Rays on Thursday, per manager Dave Roberts, but the team doesn’t sound too worried about his status.

This is great news for Muncy and the Dodgers. Hopefully this means Muncy is able to get back into action on the sooner side.

The Dodgers’ Opening Series in Korea is just three weeks away, and Muncy is set to be the team’s starting third baseman this season.
