Dodgers: Ross Stripling Gets His 2020 World Series Ring

It’s difficult to think of the past couple of Dodgers teams without mentioning Ross Stripling. Through all their years of success and deep playoff runs, Stripling was there with the team and was always a fan favorite in Los Angeles.

But he also could never find a consistent spot in the Dodgers pitching staff. That led to Los Angeles dealing him to Toronto at the trade deadline in 2020 for 2 prospects. And while he may be playing in Toronto now, Dodger fans haven’t forgotten him.

This week, Ross went to pick up his 2020 World Series ring for his contributions to the Dodgers in their run. He started 7 games for Los Angeles before being traded, and he complied a 3-1 record in those games.

Strip is having an okay year with eh Blue Jays, but he’s been exceptional over his last few appearances. In his last 18.1 innings of work, Stripling has allowed just 3 earned runs and struck out 13 batters compared to 3 walks. The Dodgers certainly miss his flexibility in and out of the bullpen this year.

For years, Stripling was that guy that could move into the bullpen and back to the starting rotation in the same week. In his 4 1/2 seasons with the Dodgers, Stripling started 59 games and appeared in a total of 143 games.

Best of luck Chicken Strip, and congrats on the hardware!
