Dodgers Rumors Linking LA to Eduardo Rodriguez Heating Up
Early on Tuesday morning, the rumors linking the Dodgers to Justin Verlander quieted down some as the rumors linking the team to Eduardo Rodriguez heated up.
Among the insiders to update on Rodriquez to LA where Jon Heyman who said LA was “in hot pursuit” of the left-hander.
Rodriguez has been off and on mentioned in trade whispers over the last few days with the LA Times saying on Monday that the Detroit Tigers pitcher was viewed as “plan B” behind Justin Verlander for the Dodgers.
As I mentioned this morning here, one major area of concern for the Dodger front office when it comes to Rodriguez is his contract which includes an opt out after this season or three years and $49 million remaining on a five year deal.
UPDATE
Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic added to the Rodriguez rumors, noting that the Dodgers are on the left-hander’s 10 team no trade list. That doesn’t necessarily mean a deal couldn’t happen but it certainly adds to the difficulty of it.
