Dodgers Score: Game Updates vs Cubs on Saturday, Mookie at 2B, Chris Taylor Starting

The Dodgers look to put Friday’s game behind them and get back to a .500 record on the season with Dustin May (1-1, 3.00 ERA) on the mound in Chicago. The Cubs counter with rookie right-hander Hayden Wesneski (1-0, 6.23 ERA) who will be making his first career start against LA.

One note before we get into it, the weather may be a factor in getting this game started on time in the Windy City. Or the snowy city.

Your boys in blue were one hit by the Cubs on Friday afternoon with a David Peralta swinging bunt being the only hit of the game. Coming off Thursday’s heroics from James Outman, it was a bit of a kick in the teeth for the Dodgers who now look to get back on track… again.

Here’s a look at the lineup that manager Dave Roberts will be sending out against Wesneski.

Austin Barnes is back in the lineup to catch May. Jason Heyward gets his first start against his former club in right field as Mookie Betts moves from right to the infield at second base, not shortstop. Chris Taylor starts for the first time in a week after dealing with a minor oblique area issue.

Quote of the Day

“It’s really cool to be able to [come back to Wrigley] as an outfielder for the Dodgers,” Heyward said on Thursday. “I’m just going to enjoy it, every bit of it. You never know when it’ll be your last time.”
