Dodgers’ Walker Buehler’s Next Rehab Start Date Announced

The Dodgers have been patiently waiting for former ace starting pitcher Walker Buehler to return from his injury. Buehler missed all of last season while recovering from Tommy John surgery and has seen his start to the 2024 season delayed.

He has been making some rehab starts lately, as he works his way back to the major leagues. It’s been a bit up and down for the right-hander but he also hasn’t pitched since the 2022 season.

Buehler was expected to be back with the team this coming week but that has been pushed back a little bit. He is expected to make at least one more rehab start before the organization makes any decisions on his ultimate return.

The date has been set for his next start with Triple-A Oklahoma City. It will be on Wednesday in Albuquerque. If that goes well, we could see Buehler back with the Dodgers fairly soon.

It will be a welcome sight whenever Buehler does take the mound for Los Angeles again as the team has missed his outings. Before his injury, Buehler had become one of the better pitchers in the entire game, giving the Dodgers a true ace-level starter.

He will be a free agent this winter but the right-hander isn’t too concerned about that. All he cares about is getting himself back to where he was before the injury and helping the team compete for another World Series title.
