Dodgers World Series, Chris Taylor Era Over, Rookie of the Year and More Fan Overreactions

We are officially one week into the 2023 MLB season. We’ve seen a lot of highs and we’ve seen a lot of lows. After an up-and-down four-game series with the Diamondbacks, the Dodgers got going against the Rockies, and enter their first road trip of the year at 4-2.

With one week in the books, we decided to have some fun, and ask our followers on Twitter their biggest Dodger related overreactions after the first week of the season. The overreactions ranged all over the board, so let’s jump right right in:

Six games in and this fan has seen enough to crown the Dodgers 2023 World Series champions. Sounds good to me!

How about some of the worried fans:

These fans are worried about Chris Taylor and Max Muncy, and their extremely slow starts to the season. It’s hard to blame them, but hopefully, they start figuring things out sooner rather than later.

Back to some positives:

The rotation has definitely been a bright spot, and Will Smith has maybe been the brightest spot. But then again, there are the incredible rookies:

And finally, how about some love for Jason Heyward. Talk about a career resurgence:

Thank you to all the fans who participated. Make sure to check out Dodgers Nation on Twitter for lots more takes, as these were only just some of the many great overreactions Dodger fans had.

Here’s to a continued dominant week from the starting rotation, Will Smith, James Outman, Miguel Vargas and Jason Heyward, and to Chris Taylor and Max Muncy figuring things out!

  1. I agree with Taylor & Muncy situation TO A POINT.
Taylor has very little (if any) time left to correct his ship; too many other OFers are vying PLUS when Rojas gets back,,,hmmmm….no room left for 2-3 Ks per game.
re: Muncy…..Lucky would be putting J.D. in a package with some prospects for a real 3B and have Muncy DH and spot starts to give days off for 1B & 2B

  2. It’s a looooooong season and everyone is subject to the injury bug…..let the season play out and see what happens…don’t count your chickens before their hatched….Eagle fans learned that last year in the NFL ?????

I still bleed Dodger Blue regardless of what happens !!!
