Freddie Freeman and Mookie Betts Match Nearly 100-Year-Old Dodgers Mark

Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman are two of the top five players in baseball and any team would be lucky to have one of them on their team. Luckily we have both.

In the Dodgers’ first Sunday game win since May 14, another record has been matched on the duo’s dynamic 2023 season.

Freddie Freeman continues to challenge Ronald Acuña Jr. for the National League Most Valuable Player award and Mookie Betts is not far behind either.

Freddie Freeman has played every single game for the Dodgers this year and in those 111 games, he has been electrifying, tallying 65 extra-base hits this season with 40 doubles, 23 home runs, and 2 triples. This explains his amazing .340 batting average and outstanding 1.013 OPS for the year.

At age 33, Freeman is playing the best baseball of his career and Dodger fans should consider themselves lucky they get to witness it.

Mookie Betts has only played in 106 games for the team but is keeping up in stats as he continues his huge power trip in 2023. Hitting his 30th home run on Sunday and 31st on Monday with a huge grand slam, Betts is looking to break his personal best of 35 home runs in a season that he set just last year.

The stars shine brighter in Los Angeles and Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman are two prime examples.

The way the Dodgers are playing now, their current 65-46 record will only grow in the win column thanks to amazing performances every day by trade deadline additions, Amed Rosario, Kiké Hernández, Lance Lynn, Joe Kelly and Ryan Yarbrough.
