How to Watch Dodgers vs Cardinals on Friday: Pitching Matchups, Betting Odds, Predictions and More

The Los Angeles Dodgers and St. Louis Cardinals are facing off for the second game of a four-game series on Friday night at Dodger Stadium.

On Thursday’s Opening Day, the Dodgers dominated right-hander Miles Mikolas and the Cardinals, winning 7-1.



Pitching Matchup for Dodgers vs Cardinals

Right-handed pitcher Bobby Miller is taking the mound for the Dodgers, going up against the left-handed Zack Thompson of the Cardinals.

Miller had a 2.77 ERA in four starts (13 innings) in spring.

Thompson had a 2.81 ERA in five appearances (16 innings) in spring.

Friday night’s game won’t be broadcast on SportsNet LA.

It will be on Apple TV+, as one of the many “Friday Night Baseball” games that will be broadcast on the streaming service this season.

Wayne Randazzo is doing play-by-play on the broadcast, and he’ll be joined by a Dodger fan favorite in analyst Dontrelle Willis. Russell Dorsey is the reporter, while former umpires Ted Barrett and Dale Scott are the rules analysts.

The Dodgers’ offense looked unstoppable on Thursday, and expect that to continue on Friday against Thompson.

Will Smith is the only current Dodger with a hit against Thompson, while the rest of the team is a combined 0-for-6. Expect that to change, and change quickly, on Friday night.

  1. Apple TV+. Great. The $160 a month cable bill isn’t enough, we’re supposed to pay another ten buck for a couple more games? Not gonna happen, but I wish nobody would sign up for it and one less payment option would go away. Just going to be a few more years before you’ve got to pay to watch any game, nothing will be included let alone broadcast over the air.
