Recap: Chase Utley Homers Twice in 15-5 Victory Over Phillies
The Dodgers started the day off .5 games behind first place courtesy of a Pirates win over in San Fransisco! On Tuesday they began their series with the Philadelphia Phillies with Kenta Maeda getting the start. This would be Chase Utley’s first time back to Citizens Bank Park since being traded, and trust when I say that he did not dissapoint!
Let’s take a look at the highlights!

The Phillies would get on the board first thanks to a solo shot off the bat of Cameron Rupp. Don’t worry, this would be the only lead they’d have all night!

In the top of the 5th Howie Kendrick would show some muscle and crush a 2-run home run putting the boys in blue on the board! I guess Chase Utley got a little jealous because he would hit home run of his own the very same inning!
Grandal with a lead off single!

The Phillies would attempt to make a dent in the Dodger lead with a home run off the bat of Cesar Hernandez. That dent would not last long.

The Dodgers would come back in the 7th and put up 8 runs! A few coming from walks but a big 4 coming from a grand slam off the bat of, you guessed it, Chase Utley!

The Phillies would try and get back in the game with 2 in the bottom of the 7th thanks to a home run by Ryan Howard and 1 in the bottom of the 8th, but the deficit was just too large.
