Diamondbacks Social Media Team Gets Last Laugh over Dodgers With Devastating 6 Word Post

The Dodgers 2023 season has come to a close once again in the NLDS, this time at the hands of the Arizona Diamondbacks. For the second straight year, LA has been eliminated by a division rival that was far behind them in the NL West standings.

In the end, Arizona got the better of Los Angeles, both on the field and on social media. Shortly after the final game ended, the Diamondbacks social media account had some fun at the Dodgers expense.

This is some grade-A trolling by Arizona, and it is rightfully deserved. The Dodgers failed in this series, and they now enter into a long offseason.

After the events of last season, many believed that the Dodgers had learned their lesson, but it seems that wasn’t the case. This playoff loss feels worse, simply because of the circumstances that surrounded it.

The Dodgers were swept this season, and they had last year fresh in their minds. At least they won a game against San Diego last year.

The offense went cold once again, and they could never recover from it. Entering the series all anyone could talk about was how the pitching staff would perform, but it was the bats that let this team down once again.

Many will blame manager Dave Roberts, but he wasn’t out there swinging the bats. He didn’t have Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman go a combined 1-21 throughout the three games. If anything, Roberts tried to keep their season alive, and he deserves credit for his managing this series.

Fans are tired of the Dodgers consistently underperforming come playoff time, and the team needs to take this offseason to figure things out. Whatever they have been doing in the playoffs clearly isn’t working, and the time for change is now.

This loss will sting for a long time, but brighter days are ahead. And soon enough it will be time for Dodgers baseball once again, just like the legendary Vin Scully always used to say.

    1. Levi, you are correct, Levine states in his article that “whatever they have been doing in the playoffs clearly isn’t working, and the time for change is now”. Well the entire team doesn’t need changing but some players do need to move on. This club desperately needs a Kirk Gibson type or two! The big change has to be the manager. His running of the clubhouse, dugout and messaging to the team is stale. Friedman needs to get the players who play with fire, with passion, then let the manager do his job. The F.O. needs to give Friedman the green light to make these changes and then stay out of his and the manager’s way!
