Dodger Highlights: Julio Urías Struggles in Return, LA Offense Can’t Battle Back in Loss to Royals
After an hour rain delay, the Dodgers couldn’t make up for a rough return for Julio Urías. They lost to the Royals 6-to-4 on Saturday.
Upon his return, Julio Urías allowed five runs in his three innings. His pitches were high and didn’t have the depth or the movement needed to get outs. He reached his predetermined pitch count after the third. With the uncertainty surrounding Clayton Kershaw, the Dodgers need Urías to be dominant.
The Dodgers used singles by Yonny Hernandez scoring Johnny Deluca and Freddie Freeman scoring Hernandez and a sac fly by Mookie Betts to score James Outman in the second.
Phil Bickford started the bullpen work with a one-two-three fourth and pitched the scoreless fifth. Deluca in left field made a fantastic play in the fifth. Ryan Brasier pitched a perfect sixth and allowed an unearned run in the seventh. Brusdar Graterol pitched a scoreless eighth.
Again, the Dodgers couldn’t control the running game against the Royals, allowing them to beat the Dodgers.
In the eighth, the Dodgers scored on Outman’s infield single but wasted a bases-loaded opportunity.

The pitching is embarrassing, if the Giants get Ohtani then there’s something wrong with the ownership. Maybe they voted for Biden and lost money. Can’t take this BS anymore. Urias needs to stop worrying about looking like a banger and start pitching
When are people going to wake up and realize that this organization does not give a damn about winning. An absolute joke!
