Dodgers: Albert Pujols Hasn’t Taken Any Time Off This Offseason
For baseball, the winter is a long, cold, boring slog. The season is over and the Dodgers are all scattered and out doing normal people things. Well, normal for the mostly very wealthy.
But this offseason, at least one former Dodger has yet to put his bat down. Free agent first baseman Albert Pujols is playing in the Dominican winter league and having a blast. On Friday, he connected for his first home run of the season.

Tío Albert came to the Dodgers last May after 10 seasons with the Anaheim Angels. In 85 games in LA, the future hall of famer shined as veteran players could lean on. And lean into for a hug. He also did well with the bat, hitting over .300 against left handed pitching and hitting .254 overall with the Dodgers. He added 12 home runs and 38 runs batted in.
During the winter league, the slugger is hitting .246 with a homer and 6 RBI.
