Dodgers-Braves Mega Preview, September Call Ups, LA Quiet on Waivers, Are They Peaking Too Soon? | Blue Heaven Podcast

Our very own Doug McKain and Clint Pasillas are live on YouTube right now for the Blue Heaven Podcast. You can join the live stream by clicking the video at the top of the article, or by clicking right here.

Today’s show is going to be action-packed, as the Dodgers are just hours away from starting their most important series of the regular season. The team is welcoming the Atlanta Braves to Dodger Stadium for four games, in a battle of the teams with the two best records in baseball.

This series could have major implications on not only the postseason and who gets home-field advantage, but also the MVP race with the top four candidates for the award all in Los Angeles this weekend: Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, Ronald Acuna Jr. and Matt Olson.

McKain and Pasillas are going to do a mega preview on this series, and talk about all the important storylines that come with it.

Additionally, McKain and Pasillas are going to discuss who could potentially join the Dodgers as September call-ups, and the waiver madness that LA was not a part of.

Finally, we have to ask: Are the Dodgers peaking too early?

This is a live show, so as always, we want your takes and thoughts on all these topics and more.

Make sure you join the live stream to sound off on all these topics, and bring your questions as we’re always happy to go off topic to talk about the things you want to talk about.

  1. Yes! They’re peaking too soon, but they don’t have the starting pitching to win it all anyway, so it really doesn’t matter because pitching is the key in post-season play, and they have older sluggs like Lance Lynn, and a uninspiring Julio Urias as their front line starters…BTW, is Urias hiding an injury? His Velo is down 2-3 mph on his fast ball. Bottom line, 34 years and ONE World Series title…in a 60 game season! Dodgers can win all the division titles for the next 20 years, but they can’t win WS titles because they SUCK in the post season!
You are what your record says you are! 1 in 34 ain’t good enough!
