Dodgers Fans Erupt Over Gavin Lux’s Appearance in Recent Photos

The Dodgers social media team shared some content with us this week, with video and photos of Gavin Lux, Chris Taylor, Trayce Thompson, and Jason Heyward working out at Dodger Stadium. The photos of Lux, specifically, caused a bit of a stir on social media.

Lux definitely looks like he’s in good shape, and it looks like he might have put on some muscle in the offseason. That was not lost on Dodgers Twitter. Let’s look at some of our favorite quote tweets about Gavin’s arms.

Of course, while Lux looks very good, there’s always room for improvement, and that’s what Photoshop is for.

Lux had a very good season in 2022 before a neck issue sidelined him and limited his effectiveness. At the time of the neck injury, he was hitting .297 with a .373 on-base percentage and a .439 slugging percentage. That .812 OPS is actually a few points higher than Trea Turner finished with, and Turner got a huge contract this offseason. If Lux can stay healthy and repeat last year’s production, it would be huge for the Dodgers.

For now, it’s January, and all we can do is dream. And, for some of us, play around in Photoshop.

  1. That’s great that he’s getting ready for the year. But I still think that he should stay at second base and for a Fraudman and Baldy aka Kasten should trade for Willy Adames that would be a very awesome DP combo. Trade Taylor and that would help on your luxury tax issue.

  2. When guys put in the work, they get results. Looking forward to Lux at SS in 2023 and beyond…

  3. Not sure what people are going nuts over. It is not like he bulked up looking like Mark McGwire.
