Dodgers Grades: Pitching and Offense, Who is the First Half MVP?

The unofficial first half of the season came and went and the Dodgers battled through adversity to enter the All-Star break in first place in the NL West. Even though we’ve already played three games in the second half of the season, taking the series against the Mets 2 games to 1, there’s still time to look back and grade the team for its first half effort.

Our lead editor Clint Pasillas along with analyst and YouTube host Doug McKain share their thoughts and opinions on LA’s pitching — both starting and in the bullpen — and the offensive attack from your boys in blue. Watch it in the video player above or click the link here.

Each host makes their cases for the first half MVP for the team as well, arguing for Clayton Kershaw, Mookie Betts, and Freddie Freeman. Dodgers fans entered the conversation on Twitter as well, with the overwhelming majority voting for Mookie in the poll below. Really, of the optioned, there were no wrong options.
