Dodgers Have Oldest Roster in MLB in 2025
The Los Angeles Dodgers have one of the best rosters in baseball, but they are also the oldest team in the league.

“The Dodgers have the oldest roster in baseball, while the Marlins are the youngest (and cheapest),” USA Today’s Bob Nightengale writes.
The top of the Dodgers order — comprised of Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, and Shohei Ohtani — are all in their 30s. Blake Snell and Tyler Glasnow are both over 30 years old in the starting rotation.
The youngest player in the Dodgers lineup is Andy Pages, at 24 years old.
With so much proven success, one of the biggest questions this spring was how the Dodgers would give their young players time in the big leagues. Manager Dave Roberts was candid when discussing the situation.
“When you have a roster that’s arguably the most talented roster in history, one through 40, playing time is hard,” Roberts said. “All guys want to play, should want to play. But it takes some buy-in to their teammates and the organization.”
While it seems like the younger Dodgers would never get the chance to shine in the majors, injuries have already created opportunities for a few starting pitchers. With Blake Snell on the injured list, the Dodgers have already used spot starters such as Justin Wrobleski, Landon Knack, and Bobby Miller.
Nevertheless, the Dodgers having one of the oldest rosters in baseball is frightening in the sense that the golden era is now, and the window could evidently close quickly.
For now, though, the Dodgers will enjoy their success with multiple superstars in the prime of their careers.
