Dodgers Make Trade, Add First-Round Pick Outfielder While NL Team DFAs Former Top LA Prospect
The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the San Francisco Giants, 5-4, on Tuesday, moving to 6-2 on the season.
Evan Phillips got a four-out save in a bullpen game that also featured Ryan Brasier (opener), Ryan Yarbrough, Alex Vesia and Michael Grove. On the offensive side of things, Mookie Betts continued his scorching hot start to the year, hitting his fifth home run in eight games this season.
Off the field, the Dodgers were very active, as they claimed a former first-round pick off waivers, made a trade with the New York Yankees and released a recently-acquired reliever.
