Santana only had one hit, but it gave the Loons a walk-off win. The Loons took an early 1-0 lead in the third inning but relinquished it in the 6th. The score would remained tied until the ninth, when Joey Curletta began the inning with a strikeout.
Josmar Cordero came up to the plate and promptly doubled to center field. Brandon Trinkwon followed with a comebacker that sent pinch-runner Jesmuel Valentin to third base. That brought up Santana, with a chance to win the game. He hit a ball up the middle to plate Valentin and end the first half of the season in dramatic fashion.
