Dodgers: Mookie Betts Reveals Which LA Player is the Funniest

In case you you haven’t heard, Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts starting a gaming channel on YouTube this offseason. In a recent video, Betts answered fan questions that ranged from his baseball life to his gaming endeavors. One question, was, “Who’s the funniest person in the dugout?”.

Betts went with one of his fellow Dodgers outfielders.

“I think I would have to roll with my boy with Cody Bellinger. You just never know what you’re going to get. You never know what he’s going to say. No matter how good or bad he’s doing. Funny guy. I say Belli.”

There’s plenty of evidence to support Betts’ take. From forgetting how to do post-game press conferences to calling out Justin Turner’s infamous “Did you call me?” prank, Bellinger knows how to get some laughs.

Some of the more comical Bellinger moments are also not intentional. He famously admitted to ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt that he didn’t know who Jerry Seinfeld was. He forgot to charge his phone right before Zoom call with Dodgers fans. Bellinger also had an interesting way of describing Giants pitcher Logan Webb’s ability to neutralize the Dodgers bats in the NLDS.

Last, but not least, is the viral photo of Bellinger staring blankly into space during the 2020 NLDS. The image becomes so famous that Bellinger even addressed it in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel.

Considering Bellinger’s comedic resumé, Betts probably isn’t the only Dodgers player who would deem Bellinger the Dodgers king of comedy.

Don’t worry Dodgers fans, Betts is not the type of guy to skip workouts to film YouTube videos. He’s not cutting batting practice short to hop into an Apex Legends match. It has been well-documented that Betts is a notorious gym rat.

Whenever the MLB lockout ends and the season starts, Betts will be ready for baseball. He’ll also get to enjoy some more hilarious Bellinger moments.

  1. That’s not what he meant. He meant that we couldn’t celebrate since a parade was not allowed in 2020.
