Dodgers News And Rumors: Prospects May Be On The Market
General manager Ned Colletti expressed that though pitching has been an area of focus, the team is not willing to give up top prospects Joc Pederson, Corey Seager or Julio Urias. He debunked the rumors that the team were shopping Kemp as well.
Prior to Colletti’s remarks, which came during Wednesday’s game, a source said the Dodgers hadn’t completely ruled out trading one of Pederson, Seager or Urias.
According to MLB analyst Peter Gammons, the Dodgers are gearing to improve backend starting pitching and the bench, which likely wouldn’t require them to part with their top prospects..
Some of the rumors will soon come to a halt with the non-waiver trade deadline set for 1 p.m. PT Thursday.
