Dodgers News: Clayton Kershaw’s Next Bullpen Session, Potential Starters vs. Reds
The bad news is that it’s been nearly two months since we’ve seen the Los Angeles Dodger’s ace, Clayton Kershaw, on the mound. But, the good news is that the Dodgers have made their way back into first place without him, giving Kershaw plenty of time to rest.
Even better news is that Kershaw will be traveling to Cincinnati with the team to do some flat ground work and then throw a bullpen off the mound.
Corrected version of that Kershaw news — he will join #Dodgers in Cincinnati, throw off flat ground again Fri then bullpen session Sat

Should the Dodgers Shut Down Clayton Kershaw for the Rest of the Regular Season? The #Dodgers said @ClaytonKersh22 will throw off flat ground in Cincinnati tomorrow with a TENTATIVE bullpen session on Saturday.

Hopefully, Kershaw will feel good during his bullpen session and continue making progress towards rejoining the team later this season. Earlier this month the Dodgers posted this picture of Kershaw on Instagram.
On the other hand, the projected starters for this upcoming series against the Reds have been named. Well, at least for Friday and Saturday. The Dodgers have Bud Norris scheduled to start on Friday for the series opener, while Brett Anderson is expected to go on Saturday.

Sunday still seems to be in the air for now as the starter has yet to be named. Many reports say Julio Urias could get the opportunity.
Dave Roberts would not commit to rotation beyond Norris-Stripling in Cincy. Likely Urias Sunday, giving Maeda, Kazmir extra day's rest again

Let’s Avoid More Disaster: Julio Urias Needs to StartThe Dodgers are considering using a spot starter on Sunday. Julio Urias, come on down!

Since it looks like the 20-year-old will be the probable starter on Sunday in Cincinnati, let’s take a look at his numbers at home and on the road this year so far.

As you may remember, Urias made his major league debut on the road against the New York Mets back in May.
Then, his 2nd start was once again on the road against the Chicago Cubs. It wasn’t until June that Urias got a home field start with the Dodgers. With the team hitting the way they have been lately, Urias, and the rest of the Dodgers should feel very confident heading into this series against the Reds.
