Dodgers News: Dave Roberts Compliments Mookie Betts on his Recovery This Season
Throughout the Dodgers season, there have been a lot of ups and downs, especially with injuries. One of the lowest points for the Dodgers was losing their star outfielder, Mookie Betts for a portion of the season. Betts suffered a hip injury at the end of July and was out for a few games. He played at the beginning of August, but after missing a couple more games, he was inevitably placed on the 10-day IL.
It did not look good and the team was also looking into if he would need surgery. There was a lot of speculation into when would he be back or if there was any kind of timeline for his recovery. Betts was in a lot of pain and nothing seemed to be helping.
Then towards the end of September, Betts was activated and back out on the field. He has been able to play ever since. Before the Dodgers, Wild Card Matchup against the Cardinals, Dave Roberts spoke with the media. Roberts mentions how he cannot believe that Mookie Betts has been able to get to where he is now.

Roberts has been around the league for a long time and knows a bad injury when he sees one. Mookie Betts has worked tirelessly to get to where he is and Doc made sure to remind everyone of that.
