Dodgers News: Julio Urias Will Not Travel With Team Amid Domestic Violence Investigation

The baseball world is still reeling from the news involving Dodgers starting pitcher Julio Urias and his domestic violence arrest on Sunday night following an LAFC game in Los Angeles.

More details on his situation can be found here.

As the Dodgers are set to travel east for a 6 game road trip, the club shared that the embattled pitcher would not be traveling with the rest of the team to Miami.

Major League Baseball is expected to place Urias on administrative leave while it conducts its own investigation into the allegations. As it stands, Urias was arrested under suspicion of domestic violence but not charged with any crime, according to USA Today’s Bob Nightengale.

The 27 year old has a September 27th court date set, just 9 days before the Dodgers would begin postseason play. He’s gone 11-8 with a 4.60 ERA in 21 games this season and is set to become a free agent this November.
