Dodgers News: Kershaw, Greinke Named Cy Young Finalists
We all pretty much saw this coming, but it doesn’t make the accomplishment any less cool. Zack Greinke and Clayton Kershaw have both been nominated as finalists for the Cy Young award by the BBWAA.
This marks the first time two teammates have been named finalists since 2011, when Cliff Lee and Roy Halladay were nominated. In Dodgers history, this is only the third time ever this has happened

Individually, Kershaw becomes the first pitcher ever to finish in the top three for the award for five straight seasons. That’s insane.

Greinke, who was named the NL’s best pitcher by his peers Monday, has the slight edge over Kershaw and Jake Arrieta, the other pitcher nominated as a finalist.
The winner for each league will be named on Wednesday, November 18 on the MLB Network. The show will start at 3PM PST and run an hour long as the other major awards will be announced then, as well.
Congratulations to both Greinke and Kershaw, without whom the Dodgers would have zero chance to be where the organization currently sits.
