Dodgers News: Max Muncy Dealing With Injury, Will Undergo Scan
The Dodgers dropped some bad news on Tuesday as we learned Max Muncy hurt his left hamstring in his final at-bat in Philadelphia on Sunday. While the slugger had been mired in a slump, the timing of the injury is still not ideal.
MLB.com’s Juan Toribio was among those to report the injury.
#Dodgers Max Muncy suffered a left hamstring injury during the last game in Philadelphia. He’ll be down tonight and Dave Roberts hopes to have him available off the bench tomorrow. He’ll get an MRI tomorrow, but no plan, as of now, to place him on the IL.

Manager Dave Roberts told reporters that Muncy suffered the injury running to first base on an RBI ground out in the 7th inning. The plan is to have him undergo an MRI scan on Wednesday with the hope that he can avoid the injured list.
Muncy felt his hamstring grab in a play on the previous road trip through Tampa Bay a couple weeks back. He was removed early from that game but didn’t miss any extended playing time. He’s hitting .094 through 9 games so far in June.
Chris Taylor got the start at third base in Tuesday night’s series opener against the White Sox at Dodger Stadium.
