Dodgers News: Watch Clayton Kershaw Perfectly Call a Home Run Live on Air

There weren’t a lot of positives that came out of the Dodgers 8-2 defeat at the hands of the Chicago Cubs on Friday. The Dodgers offense went silent (again), while the bullpen struggled — and by the bullpen, I just mean Andre Jackson, who Dave Roberts left out there to die.

However, if you want to find one positive — outside of the solo home runs from Chris Taylor and Max Muncy — there was an all-time moment from Clayton Kershaw. Kershaw wasn’t on the mound on Friday, so instead, he got a headset on for the bottom of the 3rd inning. That also happened to be the inning Taylor went yard, and because of it, we got a great moment of Kershaw calling CT’s homer. Take a look/listen for yourself:

I don’t know what my favorite part of this is. Obviously, the easy answer is him calling Cubs LHP Justin Steele “kinda good, actually,” before Taylor went way deep to left field. It could also be Joe Davis telling Kershaw he doesn’t know anything. Or, it could be Kershaw saying “oof” after watching that ball go into the bleachers.

There’s no right answer, and that’s the best part. This is the kind of video you can watch over and over again, and still laugh every time.

So while Friday’s game wasn’t pretty, at least it gave us something to smile about.

Hopefully Saturday’s game is a little better all around.
