Dodgers News: Watch Max Muncy Hit Home Run to Spark Offensive Explosion
The Dodgers can strike at all ends of their star studded lineup and their NL leading 68 wins shows exactly what they are capable of when firing on all cylinders. Mookie Betts, Trea Turner and Freddie Freeman have pulled their weight all season long in the most crucial moments, but it’s no reason to sleep on the rest of the lineup.
On Monday night at an oddly windless Oracle Park, the struggling Max Muncy stepped up to the plate with the Dodgers trailing 1-0 after the Giants brought seven men to the plate against Andrew Heaney in the bottom of the first. Muncy hit his 10th home run of the season deep to center field pushing Austin Slater all the way to the wall, and up the wall, to hand LA a 2-1 lead.
Of course, the ball barely misses Slater’s glove and puts the Dodgers on the board with a two-run home run.
After what looked to be a tough start for the Dodgers turned immediately into an offensive exploding play by Muncy in the second. The Dodgers went on to score six unanswered heading into the fifth inning.

The Dodgers would go on to beat the Giants 8-2 to collect their first win at Oracle Park this season and the first road win for either team in the last ten contests.
Tyler Anderson will face Alex Wood in the second game of the series. First pitch is set for 6:45PM.
