Dodgers Notes: LA Makes Trade, 2 Injured Pitchers Nearing Return, Shohei Ohtani Walk-Off Home Run

The Los Angeles Dodgers improved to 8-0 on Wednesday night thanks to a walk-off home run from Shohei Ohtani on his own bobblehead night to cap off a five-run comeback. L.A. beat the still winless Atlanta Braves, 6-5, as they continued the greatest start for defending champions in MLB history.

On the topic of Ohtani’s greatness, the Dodgers added a new base stealing threat to their Triple-A squad in a trade. This outfielder led the American League in stolen bases with 67 two seasons ago.

With more good news to round out Wednesday, two key pitchers are expected to start their Triple-A rehab assignments soon. An All-Star right-hander and one of the Dodgers’ most productive relievers are on their way back back to add to an undefeated team.
