Dodgers Notes: LA Makes Trade, Kiké Hernandez Has Concerning Illness, 11 Pitchers Already on Injured List
The Los Angeles Dodgers have yet to lose a regular season game in 2025 as they beat the Detroit Tigers, 5-4, in their domestic Opening Day.
It was a busy day aside from the winning as the Dodgers made a trade ahead of Opening Day. Emmet Sheehan was moved to the 60-day injured list, thus opening up a spot to acquire a Boston Red Sox pitcher and send him to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Unfortunately, Kiké Hernández has fallen ill will a concerning sickness. Since it involves vomiting and seems to be a stomach bug, the organization is hoping it isn’t the same illness Mookie Betts had.
In additional health updates, 11 pitchers have opened the 2025 season on the injured list. This team is no stranger to pitching ailments (and overcoming them in October), but it is certainly not the best way to begin the title defense season.

Dodgers are a bunch of LIARS. They post how Mookie Betts was out for the season. They claimed that Freeman wouldn’t be available at the beginning of the season. They claimed that Othani was going to be available to pitch in the postseason. That’s all I hear from what a lot of Dodgers fans claim that Roberts should have been the manager of the year. I’m not a Dodger hater, and I can see why there’s a lot of Dodgers haters. I have so much for the Dodgers history. You young kids don’t even know who Roy Campanella, Don Drysdale, Duke Snyder, Sandy Koufax and the incredible Jackie Robinson ” who made history as the first black man to the Major League is” . I grew up watching the Dodgers in the 70’s with Steve Garvey, Don Sutton, Reggie Smith, Ron Cey, and yes,,,,, Dusty Baker. At the time, the Dodgers were a classy organization. Now, they are led by a bunch of clowns. And yes the lead clown is Magic Johnson leading Roberts. In the 80’s Johnson was also a classy man with the Lakers. And he felled into the lying leadership of the Dodgers.
