Dodgers Notes: Major Roster Move Incoming, Blake Snell No Return Timeline, LA Legend Suffers Health Scare

The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Colorado Rockies, 6-2, on Tuesday evening to cap off a wonderful Jackie Robinson Day that paid homage to a legend on and off the diamond.

Ahead of the Dodgers’ second straight victory, there was some roster news that a young pitcher from Triple-A is on his way to Los Angeles. After a promising rookie season, this pitcher has faced countless hurdles on the way back to the mound at Dodger Stadium. That move will be finalized Wednesday.

In less positive pitching news, there is currently no timeline for Blake Snell’s return. The two-time Cy Young award winner has very recently started playing catch but has many more action items to cross off his list before he is activated from the injured list.

Finally, Tuesday started with the unfortunate news that Dodgers legend Manny Mota had suffered a stroke. He is currently in recovery and has the support of Dodgers fans everywhere to attain a full and prompt recuperation.
