Dodgers Score: Live Game Updates and Odds vs Nationals on Tuesday, Gonsolin/Irvin, Max is Back

Your Los Angeles Dodgers look to make it two wins in a row against the Nationals with the Cat Man on the mound. Tony Gonsolin (2-1, 1.82 ERA) makes his 7th start of the season against a Washington roster that has never had a hit against him (six batters are 0-15 against him). The Nats counter with RHP Jake Irvin (1-2, 5.32 ERA) who has never faced LA in his career.

Here’s a look at the lineup Dave Roberts is sending out there against the right-hander.

Max Muncy is back in the lineup after sitting an extra day to rest a hamstring cramp. Will Smith gets the start off before the 12:10 PM start on Wednesday so Austin Barnes catches Gonsolin. Mookie Betts slides over from shortstop to second base while Miguel Vargas gets a night off.

The outfield looks the same as Monday night with David Peralta, James Outman, and Jason Heyward patrolling the grass. Freddie Freeman looks to extend his franchise record month of May in the doubles department.

Pitching Matchup

Tony Gonsolin is 1-1 with a 5.00 ERA against the Nats in his career (2 games, 1 start). He’s excelled in his career pitching at Dodger Stadium, posting a 2.04 ERA over 145.1 innings. Since coming off the injured list late in April, he’s been the most consistent starter in the rotation for LA.

Rookie righty Jake Irvin will be making his first start against the Dodgers tonight. While his overall numbers aren’t good over his first five starts this year, his lone start on the road he pitched a gem with 6.1 scoreless innings against the Giants in San Francisco.
