Dodgers: Watch Emotional Moment Between Clayton Kershaw And A Young Fan
Dodgers fans, break out your tissues for this one. Clayton Kershaw has always been a man of the people, and what he does for the community around him is incredible. But one moment during the All-Star Game had grown adults shedding tears all across the internet. Myself included.
After his scoreless inning to start the Mid-Summer Classic, Kershaw had his press conference while the game was still going on. The Dodgers pitcher fielded questions about the game and what starting it had meant to him as well as what he would take away from the experience.
But when he was done, there was one more order of business. A young fan came up to the Dodgers pitcher and told him about his late grandfather. While he had already passed away some years back, it sounds like his bucket list item was to meet Clayton Kershaw. And let the tears commence.
Clayton Kershaw thought his press conference was over when he was surprised by a 10-year-old.
The child’s grandfather made a bucket list. On that list: meet Clayton Kershaw. That never happened. He died of cancer. But today Blake Grice met Kershaw. He feels his pappy with him. pic.twitter.com/K5KGcd5ozO

How can you not be romantic about baseball? It’s just one of those things that reminds you that this is so much more than a game. Baseball means the world to so many people. And when you get to see a guy that Dodgers fans have admired for years in a moment like this, it gives you real hope for the world. What a game.
