Free Agent Cody Bellinger Hanging Out With Former Dodgers Teammates Chris Taylor, Will Smith

Cody Bellinger remains a free agent as we near spring training, but it appears to be business as usual for the former Dodgers outfielder this offseason.

This weekend, Bellinger appeared to go on a trip to Napa Valley with two of his former Dodger teammates, Chris Taylor and Will Smith. Bellinger’s girlfriend — Chase Carter — posted a picture of the three former teammates with their wives/girlfriends on her Instagram page. The newest Taylor — Theo Kalani — is also spotted in the picture in his dad’s arms.

Bellinger was drafted by the Dodgers in 2013 and spent his entire career there until he was non-tendered following the 2022 season.

Smith was drafted by the Dodgers in 2016 and has spent his entire career in the organization, while Taylor was acquired via trade in 2016.

Those three players were all a part of the Dodgers’ 2020 World Series championship team.

Bellinger is currently a free agent after a bounce back year with the Chicago Cubs that saw him win the National League Comeback Player of the Year award. Bellinger slashed .307/.356/.525 with 26 home runs and 97 RBIs in 130 games. He struck out just 87 times while drawing 40 walks.

Bellinger is yet to find a new home, but has been rumored as a candidate to remain in Chicago. Teams like the San Francisco Giants, Toronto Blue Jays and Los Angeles Angels have also reportedly expressed interest in the former MVP this offseason.
