Los Angeles Dodgers Jersey Patch Revealed for 2024 Season
The Los Angeles Dodgers have debuted their jersey patch for the 2024 season. It’s a Guggenheim jersey patch.
Guggenheim, the ownership group of the Dodgers, has been all over the headlines this offseason after spending over $1 billion to bring in Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Tyler Glasnow and more.
Here’s a first look at the jersey patch, which will be on the regular season jerseys, too.
Guggenheim has not been subtle in putting their name all over the Dodgers’ offseason.
At Ohtani’s press conference, the backdrop had two logos of the Dodgers, and one logo of Guggenheim.
When Ohtani and the Dodgers combined to donate over $1 million to Japan for earthquake relief efforts, Guggenheim’s name was listed among the senders.
What is Guggenheim?
Guggenheim Baseball Management is the ownership group of the Dodgers. It includes the likes of Mark Walter, Magic Johnson, Stan Kasten and Peter Guber, among others.
Guggenheim Baseball Management was formed in 2012 when Frank McCourt finally put the Dodgers up for sale.
On March 27, 2012, the Guggenheim group agreed to buy the Dodgers for a record $2.15 billion.
A year later, they agreed to a massive television deal with Time Warner Cable valued at $8.35 billion over 25 years.
Since Guggenheim bought the team, the Dodgers have experienced nothing but success.
