Shohei Ohtani Rumors: Everything Linking Star to Dodgers and Everything That Doesn’t
The 2023 MLB trade deadline is just over one week away and the attention grabber for the next seven-plus days will be Angels slugger/ace Shohei Ohtani. After a nice weekend, the Angels find themselves firmly in the hunt for a Wild Card spot. But with three teams ahead of them for the final spot, it’s certainly an uphill battle.
Should the next week of games not go well, the club will find itself faced with a tough decision. Hold on to Ohtani and hope the next two months following the deadline go well, or sell him and restock a pretty thin farm system. If they choose to sell, the Dodgers are expected to be in the mix one way or another.
