Dodgers All-Stars Receive Their National League Jerseys on Sunday

The Dodgers will be sending 4 of their guys out to Denver this week to play in the All-Star Game. Mookie Betts was also voted onto the NL squad, but he opted to take the week off and heal up rather than play in the Midsummer Classic.

On Sunday afternoon in Los Angeles, the Dodgers All-Stars received their NL jerseys. Betts, Max Muncy, Chris Taylor, Walker Buehler, and Justin Turner all got their jerseys right along with manager Dave Roberts. Doc gets to manage the NL team this year after winning the World Series in 2020.

The All-Star jerseys have been received by fans with mixed reviews, but the Dodgers already make them look good. The 2 teams will be required to wear matching uniforms this year rather than their own jerseys like in years past.

The Dodgers are expected to have Max Muncy as their only starter in the game on Tuesday. Max Muncy did not win the vote at first base, but Roberts has already said he plans to put him at the designated hitter spot. Muncy was beaten out in the second phase of voting at first base by Atlanta’s Freddie Freeman.

But the Dodgers will have their guys in the game. Roberts had said this week that he wanted to start Walker Buehler in that game, but he might opt for the Nationals’ Max Scherzer. He was likely going to start in 2020 with Davey Martinez managing before the game was called off due to the pandemic.
