Dodgers Among Favorites to Win 2024 World Series, Per Oddsmakers

With the World Series now over, the Dodgers offseason can officially begin. They have plenty of needs across the board, and the front office is expected to be aggressive in fixing things that went wrong this season.

While the Dodgers roster for next season remains a mystery, we can still imagine them being a top team in the National League once again. They will have stars Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman leading the squad, and there is plenty of work to be done this offseason.

They are currently placed with the second-best odds to win the World Series for next year, even before free agency begins. They sit at +750 via DraftKings SportsBook, which is right behind the Atlanta Braves, who are at +700.

“Atlanta and Los Angeles will still be in the mix at the top of the NL, but they both need to reinforce their pitching staffs in the offseason after dealing with injuries.”

Per Joe Tansey of Bleacher Report

LA is currently expected to heavily spend this offseason to improve their team after another poor postseason outing. They should be going after two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani, among others, in their hope to build a championship-contending team.

They will also need to upgrade their starting rotation, and the team is expected to do that both in free agency and via trade. If they can get their rotation back in order, the Dodgers would then be a very formidable team once again.

The National League is very tough, but LA showed that they can handle things even with a weaker squad. it should be another solid year in 2024, and hopefully, this time the season concludes with them hoisting up the trophy at the end.

  1. Give us a break… with Roberts as manger they could not win the couldn’t win the Little League World Series..wow!!

  2. The Dodgers have a talented team to easily get through the regular season, they just don’t have two stud pitchers required to successfully get through the post season.

    1. Stud pitching and a player more like the Wild Horse and less like someone bucking for a job in the Commissioners Office as the Director of Platitudes.

  3. I’m like the guy in Fansville commercials. Every year I fall for the hype….
Until major changes are made, not getting my hopes up.

  4. Oddsmakers had them Grand slam in the WS this year. Hhhmmmmmm. Put 2, 3 more rookies on roster I’m sure it will work this year?

  5. Dodgers needs:
Trade for Arenado to play 3rd
Sign Free Agent Snell for starting pitching
Resign Kershaw, JD Martinez, Kiki Hernandez
And the biggest move…fire Dave Roberts and sign Mike Scioscia as Manager
