Dodgers Announce Series of Roster Moves, Option Players Including Andy Pages

The Dodgers made a series of roster moves on Sunday, optioning multiple players and re-assigning guys to minor league camp. Among the players who were optioned is outfielder Andy Pages, who has been having a strong Spring Training.

Pages was never likely to make the big league roster this season, so it makes sense to option him now. He will be one of the first players to be called up this year if he continues to perform at a high level.

Right-hander Landon Knack, right-hander Ricky Vanasco and right-hander Nick Frasso were also optioned. Additionally, catchers Diego Cartaya and Hunter Feduccia. Frasso is unlikely to pitch this season as he is currently recovering from surgery.

Among the players that were re-assigned to minor-league camp were left-hander Stephen Gonsalves, right-hander Jesse Hahn, right-hander Michael Petersen and right-hander Eduardo Salazar. Outfielder Travis Swaggerty was also assigned to the minor league camp.

Right-hander River Ryan was also re-assigned to minor-league camp.

This is one of the first big roster moves from the Dodgers this season, as they look to cut things down in camp. Los Angeles only has a few weeks until their opening series against the San Diego Padres in Korea, so they are looking to lock things down.
