Dodgers Highlights: Five Homers Lead the Way in the 10th Consecutive Win Over the Angels

The Dodgers finished their theoretical first half with a 10-to-5 victory over the Angels. The Dodgers have now won 10 consecutive games over the Angels.

Dave Roberts chose to go with an opener in Alex Vesia who pitched a scoreless first. Michael Grove came on as the bulk guy in the second inning and hurled three scoreless frames before allowing 4 runs across the sixth and seventh inning including a two-run homer to Shohei Ohtani.

Grove had the longest Major-League outing of his brief career with 6 innings in relief.

Freeman blasted his 17th home run of the season in the fourth to knock out Ryan Detmers. Muncy singled in Smith. The Dodgers wasted a bases-loaded situation in the fourth.

In the sixth, J.D. Martinez blasted his 22nd homer. In the seventh, David Peralta came off the bench and blasted his 7th homer.

Bryan Hudson pitched a perfect eighth but loaded the bases in the ninth. He allowed a run on a sac fly. With two outs in the ninth, Evan Phillips got the last out in the ninth.
