Dodgers News: Justin Turner Returns Tonight Against the Twins

The Dodgers and Twins will face off in a 2-game series starting tonight in Los Angeles. Julio Urias will get the ball for Los Angeles and he faces off against right-handed pitcher Joe Ryan, who has started 17 games this season.

But they’ll have a little bit of help for this series. The Dodgers have officially activated third baseman Justin Turner from the injured list, and he is expected to be back in the lineup tonight. Getting his bat back in there is huge given the way he was hitting before the injury.

JT was hitting a whopping .400 in the month of July before going down with an abdomen injury. He had driven in 13 runs and crushed a pair of home runs in 16 games before the Dodgers finally decided to place him on the injured list.

Other Dodgers News

The Dodgers and their fans have not loved Coors Field. It seems like anytime they visit the Mile High City, the wheels fall off and someone gets hurt. But that didn’t stop Tony Gonsolin from saying that it’s one of his favorite parks to visit. That’s pretty wild for a pitcher to say, given that the ball soars out of the stadium.
