Dodgers Score: LA Gets the Angry Win in SF, Max Muncy Breaks Out Big vs Giants

BREAKING NEWS… The Dodgers have won a baseball game. The boys in blue put together a perfectly even victory over the rival Giants, powered by 6 dominant innings by Julio Urias and a breakout game by Max Muncy. With the win, the Dodgers move their record back over the .500 mark at 6-5.

Let’s get into the offensive highlights.

Things got off on the right foot with a Mookie Betts leadoff home run off Giants’ ace Logan Webb. The homer also continued the Walker Buehler reacts on Twitter era.

It was the start of a big night for Mookie who went 3-5 with 2 RBI and 3 runs scored. But the star of the show was Max Muncy who exorcised some demons in a big way. It started in the 3rd inning with a 3-run job.

But a 3-run homer wasn’t enough so he came back with a grand salami in the 7th.

Muncy had a career-high 7 runs batted in and hit 785 feet of homers into the San Francisco night.

One thing keen-eyed viewers might have spotted was Muncy reintroducing a miniature version of his step back from a season ago. It seemed to work.

More to come on this later.

James Outman tried his best to keep up but only came up with his league leading third triple. He also stole a base. Ho Hum.

Dodgers Pitching

On the pitching side of things, Julio Urias did exactly what the team needed with his 6 shutdown innings where he allowed just 1 run while striking out 8.

More importantly, the bullpen held the Giants offense scoreless over the final 3 innings of the game.

One final good thing, Dodger pitching did end up striking out 13 batters which means a free Jumbo Jack at select local Jack in the Box locations. More free food details here.

  1. Outman had an off night again! :- (. O-4 yesterday, tho he did move a runner over, and he did get a FC, that put a faster runner on base)! See… Even when he goes 0-4, it’s a solid 0-4 ! I think he got 17 pitches that game too! Not awesome, but a bit over avg for a 7 hitter. He’s filthy

  2. It was great to see Max and Mookie step up big and watch our Dodgers beat the Giants last night. Hopefully, we can bring some of that tonight and take the series. I absolutely enjoy winning against this team which unsurprisngly consist of so many former Dodgers players to be laughable. Tonight Woods is on the mound and I am sure we will see Joc, maybe Beaty and a little Alexander and/or Stripling. Even if we take the series, all will not be lost for the wannabe Dodgers AKA Giants: they can consider the series yet another “scouting” opportunity. LET’S GO DODGERS!

  3. We need an infielder so Muncy can DH and…we need to say B-Bye to CT3 if no breakthrough by end of April (he was a good 3 years guy….grateful for that BUT, Baseball is about winning…not much room for tears. I don’t think he can be rehabbed.
