Dodgers Score: Live Game Updates and Odds vs Nationals on Monday, Miller/Williams, Max Muncy Out of Lineup

The Dodgers (32-22) mercifully are back home in LA after a 10 game, 11 day drag of a road trip that saw the club go 4-6 against some of the better teams in baseball. Rookie right-hander Bobby Miller (1-0, 1.80) — we’ll call him must-see Bobby — makes his second career start today, coming off a gem of a debut in Atlanta last week.

With the last place Washington Nationals (23-30) coming to town, hopefully the next three days are a bit easier for the weary boys in blue. Right-hander Trevor Williams (2-2, 4.32) starts for the Nats.

Here’s a look at the lineup Dave Roberts is sending out there.

The big story is that Max Muncy is out of the lineup a day after being removed early with a hamstring strain. Chris Taylor starts at third base, as expected. Mookie Betts is back at shortstop where he’s hitting .333 with a 1.322 OPS as a starter. Will Smith is back in the lineup after a game off while David Peralta, James Outman, and Jason Heyward make up the outfield.

Pitching Matchup

Bobby Miller makes the first regular season MLB start of his career at Dodger Stadium today, with him having pitched there during spring training in 2021 and the All-Star Futures Game last year. The rookie was great in his debut in Atlanta last week, allowing one run over 5 innings in a win. He was hit hard with an average exit velocity of 93.3 against him, so that’s something to watch.

Trevor Williams is 0-1 with a 5.67 ERA in 6 previous games against the Dodgers.
