Longtime Dodgers Closer Kenley Jansen Posts Pictures From Dodger Stadium

The MLB offseason is in full swing, and rumors are flying across the board.

The Dodgers have been linked to top free agents Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto, while also being linked to top trade targets Dylan Cease and Corbin Burnes.

In terms of concrete moves, the Dodgers have added Ricky Vanasco on a major league deal and re-signed Jason Heyward on a one-year, $9 million deal. Here’s where the Dodgers’ 40-man roster stands right now:

It’s sure to be an exciting offseason for LA, and one former Dodger is taking it all in… from Dodger Stadium.

Longtime Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen took to Instagram on Tuesday to post a picture of himself at Dodger Stadium. Jansen appears to be in the Dodger Stadium parking lot, posted up in front of one of the many incredible backdrops with the city of Los Angeles behind him.

Jansen is not a free agent, and is under contract next year for $16 million with the Boston Red Sox.

The 36-year-old spent the first 12 years of his career with the Dodgers, so it’s very possible he still has a home in Los Angeles that he’s currently spending the offseason at.

However, it is a little interesting that he went to Dodger Stadium, and then posted pictures from there on his Instagram.

There’s no reason to look too deeply into this, though, as it’s beyond unlikely the two sides reunite this offseason.

But at the very least, it’s fun to see Jansen back at Dodger Stadium, a place he called home for the first 12 years of his career.

  1. He still lives in Redondo Beach.

Yes, it it highly unlikely that Jansen returns here.
These articles are predictable–the headline suggests something, then it’s admitted at the end that it’s very unlikely, with a comment like, “But it’s interesting to think about” or “Dodger fans wouldn’t mind seeing this.”

  2. He owns a record label now and was filming a video with his artist . Fan for life. Trust me I would love to see him back but I highly doubt it
