Shelby Miller is an American professional baseball pitcher and 2015 National League All-Star. He signed with the Dodgers on December 1, 2022. He was born on October 10, 1990, in Brownwood, Texas. Miller was selected by the St. Louis Cardinals in the first round of the 2009 MLB Draft and made his debut with the club in 2012.

He’s been involved in two blockbuster trades, first going to the Atlanta Braves in a trade involving Jason Heyward. A year later, Miller was sent to the Arizona Diamondbacks in a deal that included future Atlanta star Dansby Swanson.

Over his career, Miller has battled injuries (including 2017 Tommy John surgery) and ineffectiveness, spending a lot of time in the minor leagues since 2021. He opted out of the 2020 season due to the pandemic.
