Two Dodgers Games Selected For National Broadcasts by Apple TV+

Two Los Angeles Dodgers games have been selected to be broadcast on Apple TV+ during the first half of the 2024 MLB season.

Apple TV+ is returning its Friday Night Baseball weekly doubleheaders this season, which will allow subscribers to tune into two games each week. The series marks the continued rise of subscription streaming sports over solely cable broadcasts.

The Dodgers will take part in the first doubleheader of the season on March 29 when they host the St. Louis Cardinals in their open home series. Dodgers-Cardinals will be the second game of the doubleheader, following the New York Yankees facing the Houston Astros.

The second Dodgers Apple TV+ game will take place on June 7, when the Dodgers play the Yankees in the Bronx.

Apple TV+ has only released the first half of its weekly doubleheader schedule for the 2024 season, through June 28. This means the Dodgers might have more than two of their games broadcast by Apple TV+.

With stars like Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Freddie Freeman and Mookie Betts, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Apple TV+ broadcast a few more Dodgers games during the second half of the 2024 season.

  1. Appletv lists the live score on their homepage so you know it’s not run by sports fans. Also in their first game they had a woman (nothing wrong with that) who didn’t know baseball and admitted that and asked annoying basic questions. Why was she there?

  2. This irritates the hell out of me! I already pay to get the Dodger games. I’m NOT going to subscribe to Apple TV and pay more.
On top of that we have to endure games on ESPN
and their annoying broadcasters who waste whole innings asking stupid questions in the dugout.
