Dodgers News: 5 Players Advance to the Final Round of All-Star Game Voting

The Dodgers look like they are going to be well represented at the 2021 All-Star Game in Colorado. The next step is to get enough votes in to make sure we have a few starters in the field during this next phase of voting.

The AL and NL All-Star finalists were announced this morning by MLB. The Dodgers ended up with 5 players moving on to the second round of voting which determines the starters. Three players at each position advanced to the second round, while 9 outfielders also advanced.

For the Dodgers, Max Muncy was the only player to finish in first place at his position. Gavin Lux gave in third at second base while Justin Turner also came in third. In the outfield, Mookie Betts and Chris Taylor both cracked the top 5

Dodgers fans looking to make their favorite players starters should go here to vote. Fans can vote every day in the designated voting period, but the pitchers and reserves for both teams will be decided via Player Ballot choices and picks made by the Commissioner’s Office.

  1. If any Dodger gets in I hope they turn the invite down. Traveling to Colorado w/ that thin air and all the excitement will wear on the body. Even Arenado talked about it coming back to Colorado after a road trip takes a while to get adjusted. Get the 3 days rest, recoup or rehab whatever is ailing you and start the 2nd half fully energized for the stretch run. I also hope DR don’t take any of his pitchers, especially he’s trying to baby them for the long haul. It’s no shame they’re not represented because we will be there to shine in the playoffs. However, next year the ASG will be @ Dodger Stadium, I will be voting diligently as often as I can for all the Dodgers’ starters and hope Belli is healthy enough to compete in the HR Derby along w/ Muncy. Why not 2 Dodgers to represent ?!?!!

  2. Something is wrong when two of the top three in the NL outfield voting are Cincinnati outfielders. I’ve never heard of Jesse Winker.
