Dodgers News: Austin Barnes Wants To See The Team Capitalize On Missed Scoring Opportunities

The Dodgers have done it right all season long but have failed to do what they do best when it came to the postseason, scoring runs. The Dodgers need to figure it out soon or else they will be getting sent home and be labeled as one of the most disappointing Dodgers teams in its history.

The Dodgers lost game three to the Padres 2-1 and once again failed to bring in runners in scoring position. The Padres pitching has been tough, but Austin Barnes won’t take that as an excuse to not show up.

Barnes spoke to the media explaining there are more ways to score than just hitting the ball. but the team needs to capitalize at all opportunities given.

“We gotta do a better job scratching and clawing a little bit. Capitalizing down there. Obviously runs are a premium in the playoffs. We gotta do better when we get into those situations and capitalize on them. Whatever it has to be. Moving the runner. It doesn’t always have to be a hit but we feel good about our team we gotta win two more games. Take care of business tomorrow and try to get back to the ravine.”

For a team as dangerous as the Dodgers have been they have been given plenty of opportunities to come out and puts some points up. Unfortunately the lack of capitalizing and effort shown has costed them deeply.

The Dodgers need to win two more games to advance into the next round and face a tough task on the road against a momentum filled Padres team.
