Another week has come and gone, but the Dodgers, despite splitting a four-game series in Milwaukee, are still the best team in baseball (84-36) thanks to a sweep of the visiting Miami Marlins.
However there were plenty of stories beyond just a few box scores for the Dodgers.
Let’s take a look at the top stories from the week that was for LA!
Injured starter Clayton Kershaw headed back to Texas for a bit and it caused quite the stir.
But later in the week, it looked like things are pointing in the right direction for Kershaw.
Another major story about a former NL MVP was Cody Bellinger riding the pine for a pair of games for a “mental reset”.
2021 NL MVP finalist Trea Turner provided some encouraging quotes about possibly re-signing with LA.
Although he’s never played an inning of Major League Baseball, AM570’s David Vassegh gained internet fame after injuring himself on the Milwaukee Brewer’s famous slide.
He’s not quite as beloved as David Vassegh, but Pedro Baez was also back in the news after getting released by LA.
The Dodgers are also in the midst of a bizarre stretch of their schedule where they’re playing 14 games…against just two opponents.
Unfortunately, LA received word that starter Walker Buehler’s season is over.
Dustin May made a statement in his first start since May of 2021.
