Dodgers Notes: 2 Seed Locked Up, Psychic JD Martinez, Mike Trout to LA?

The Dodgers will open the NLDS as the No. 2 seed in the National League, although it is unclear who they will play at this point in the season. The Atlanta Braves won their 102nd game of the season Wednesday to lock up the top spot.

In other news, J.D. Martinez predicted that Mookie Betts would win the NL MVP before the season started and LA is the favorite team to land star hitter Mike Trout if the Angels decide to trade him.

  1. Yeah, pass on Trout. He can’t play half a season anymore. Outman is the center fielder for the next 8 years. I’d rather see DeLuca in LF and J-Hey in RF, with Peralta and Hernandez as depth. Betts needs to play 2B to make to the end of his contract.

Don’t send valuable prospects to the Angels for someone who’s at the end of his career…
